A little hidden secret we have at Viva Aesthetics are our Chemical peels!
I feel a lot of people are scared of chemical peels and if done incorrectly they can cause damage. People try to do them at home which without the proper training can have awful results which I am sure you have seen on tiktok and google. This is why its best to have these kind of procedures performed by a trained esthetician. Who uses uses them everyday and are experienced in the ins and outs of these treatments. Chemical peels use ingredients that we use everyday in our cleansers, toners and serums. The only difference is chemical peels are higher concentrations and are left on the skin longer.
So let's talk about our chemical peels!!
Our chemical peels are classed as light peels. We wanted a gentle peel that would be safe for everyone. We have several types depending on your skin concerns.
Before and After 2 Peels - Concern: Back Acne
Viva's Advanced Renewal Peel
The main ingredient in this peel is 𝑮𝒍𝒚𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅. Glycolic Acid is a natural acid derived from sugar cane. Glycolic Acid is the smallest of the AHA's. This means it is able to penetrate the deepest and is able to work very effectively. Glycolic Acid erodes the glue from the dead skin cells. This gets rid of the dead skin layer revealing the living skin underneath. Because the Glycolic Acid is able to penetrate deep into the skin, it stimulates our fibroblasts in the dermis to produce increased amounts of collagen. With increased collagen production it helps skin feel firmer and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles.
This peel also has:
𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅 which also brightens the skin.
𝑶𝒑𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒂 𝑭𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒔-𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒎 𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕 is very nourishing, moisturising and soothing.

Lets take a look at the ingredients!
The main Acid in this peel is 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒚𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅 the top BHA. Salicylic Acid unclogs the top of comedones. Comedones are blackheads which their plug has oxidized and whiteheads have skin covering the top of the dead skin cells, bacteria, debris ect. Salicylic is also brightening and helps with hyperpigmentation.
𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅 derived from almonds. It is stimulates collagen production, and erodes the glue between your dead skin cells to exfoliate the skin.
𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅 is one of our more gentle acids due to its large molecule size. It exfoliates the skin and is also a humectant. This means it attracts water.
𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒐𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒙 suppresses sebum production and works with skin's natural microbiome to kill breakout-causing bacteria in minutes.
